Donald Trump issues scathing attack against Kamala Harris in slick new campaign ad

Donald Trump has released a new campaign advert mocking Kamala Harris’ public remarks.

The clip, with a duration of 82 seconds, features numerous quotes from the Vice President across the years, all in which she repeats the same phrases over and over again in a rambling manner.

The video, titled “Inspiring Thoughts from Kamala Harris”, begins with 59-year-old Harris the line “significance of the passage of time” four times in a short period.

“We're talking about the significance of the passage of time, right? The significance of the passage of time,” Harris said at an event in Louisiana in March 2022.

Harris/Trump

“So when you think about it, there is great significance in the passage of time in terms of what we need to do to lay these wires, what we need to do to create these jobs. And there is such great significance to the passage of time.”

The next section features Harris repeating the word “community” six times during a speech praising banks.

She said: “So the importance of community banks is they are, as they are called, they’re in the community, led by members of the community. People who understand the capacity of the community, the needs of the community, the culture of the community.”

In a similar manner, the video features a rambling of the Vice President where she repeats the word “time” in a January 2022 speech.

LATEST DEVELOPMENTS:

Kamala Harris

“It is time for us to do what we have been doing, and that time is every day. Every day it is time for us to agree that there are things and tools that are available to us to slow this thing down,” Harris said whilst discussing the Biden administration’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The ad ends with Harris - the first female and first black vice president in American history - saying: “I can imagine what can be and be unburdened by what has been.”

Republicans have mocked Harris for the phrase repeatedly after they noticed her using it frequently while speaking in public.

Doubts about Harris as second-in-command were raised today by a Washington Post columnist, who encouraged Biden to replace her with Hilary Clinton.

Trump

Pulitzer Prize-winning columnist Kathleen Parker argued that Harris lacks “competency” and Clinton would be a better alternative.

“If Biden needs to step down, even those who didn't vote for Clinton would have confidence in her ability to keep the country on track,” Parker wrote.

She said that Harris should instead be given the role of Attorney General in order to not alienate black voters.

Billionaire donor abandons Sunak as he announces switch to Labour - Tories in 'despair'

A former major Conservative donor has announced he will be voting Labour for the first time, describing Rishi Sunak as an "absolute dud."

Founder of Phones 4U John Caudwell said the Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer "just really hits the spot with a lot of issues with me."

The 71-year-old, who donated £500k to the Conservatives ahead of the 2019 election, stopped short of saying he would donate money to Labour at this election.

Caudwell also ruled out backing Reform UK over its stance on climate change among other things.

John Caudwell

Caudwell said: "The Labour Party in my estimation, as much as I disagree with some of the policies, are absolutely the very best for Britain going forward. What I see is a Labour Party committed to GDP growth and the environment.

"Without GDP growth you can’t look after your social services. And without focusing on the environment there won’t be a world to look after."

The Phones4U mogul said he had donated in 2019 "because I couldn’t possibly stand a Corbyn government."

He also praised Starmer's attempts to get rid of what he called "the loony Left" which he claimed had focused on "extreme socialist policies."

LATEST DEVELOPMENTS

Phones4u billionaire John Caudwell

Caudwell has been increasingly critical of the Rishi Sunak, both in his role as Prime Minister and Chancellor of the Exchequer.

He told the BBC: "Everything he did within COVID was wrong. He paid people for furlough which was all or nothing. He gave them too much in the wrong way.

"The criticisms that I made of Rishi during his chancellorship, I think were pretty much evidenced in the D Day situation...[it showed] a complete lack of judgement."

Giving his reaction, Sir Keir said: "I’m delighted that John, someone with such a successful track-record in business, has today thrown his support behind the changed Labour Party that I lead."

Caudwell added: "When Labour launched its manifesto last Thursday, I was delighted to see that accelerating economic growth was front and centre, and that projected growth is clearly tied into making Britain a clean energy superpower.

"So, I can declare publicly that I will vote for Labour, and I encourage everybody to do the same.

"We need a very strong Labour government that can take extremely bold decisions and you can rest assured that I will be doing my best to influence them wherever I can, in putting the great back in Britain."

Nigel Farage wants to destroy the Conservatives - and his election ‘contract’ is the start – analysis by Christopher Hope

What's Nigel Farage up to? The Reform UK party leader launched his 'Contract with You' policy document in a deprived part of Merthyr Tydfil, south Wales today.

Farage himself said that it was aimed at disaffected Labour supporters - but its main target is surely disgruntled Conservative supporters.

Many of the policies are pure Conservative Viagra, a Tory manifesto on steroids. Take 30,000 more full-time members of the Armed Forces. Or frontloading benefit payments to let parents stay at home in the early years.

Or pulling out of the European Convention on Human Rights. Or taxing companies which rely on immigrant labour. Or rewriting -history lessons at school so children are taught about other countries' imperial and slave-trading past.

Nigel Farage

All of this would be paid for through £150billion worth of savings including the immigration tax (£4billion), benefits crackdown (£15billion), cut foreign aid (£6billion) and scrapping net zero targets (£30billion).

The Institute for Fiscal Studies was sniffy about whether these savings were realistic. While Cabinet Minister Michael Gove dismissed Farage as "not someone who can govern this country".

None of this bothered Farage though, in fact, he was probably expecting it. This was never meant to be a programme for government, but a cri de coeur aimed squarely at the Tory Right.

No wonder one headline on the Telegraph's website tonight said simply it was "the Conservative manifesto that never was".

LATEST DEVELOPMENTS:

Nigel Farage

So what's next? Farage made clear his plan is to win a "beachhead" of seats in the House of Commons and build a mass movement over the next five years. And then what?

Farage refused to say he would not join the Tories (he told me it was "extremely unlikely"). But he didn't rule out trying to persuade any right-wing Conservatives who survive what the polls suggest would be a Tory Armageddon on July 4.

"I don't think the Conservative Party will reform itself," he told me. "There are people in there that are friends of mine, who I'm close to, I very much hope they come and join me….Suella and people like Jacob [Rees-Mogg], they're in the wrong party."

So there we have it. Farage and his chairman Richard Tice baited their hook. How many Conservatives will bite? And will it be enough to destroy the Tory party as we know it?

That, without question, is Farage's ultimate goal. His Contract published today is his first attempt at making it happen.

Nigel Farage: Extremely unlikely that I will join the Conservatives

REFORM UK leader Nigel Farage has said it is “extremely unlikely” that he will join the Conservative Party.

Asked if his aim was to take over the party, he told GB News’ Political Editor Christopher Hope: “There isn’t a Tory Party.

“There isn’t one. Suella Braverman wants to marry me politically, and David Cameron says you shouldn’t go near me, and Michael Heseltine thinks I’m Oswald Mosley - what Tory Party? I think it’s extremely unlikely.

“My ambition is for this party to establish a beachhead right into Parliament and to use that to build a mass movement over the course of the next five years.

“I don't think the Conservative Party will reform itself. There are people in there that are friends of mine, who I'm close to, I very much hope they come and join me….Suella and people like Jacob [Rees-Mogg], they're in the wrong party.”

He was asked for his response to the Institute of Fiscal Studies’ reaction to Reform UK’s manifesto, which said its sums “do not add up”.

Farage said: “And they've said that about the Labour manifesto, as well as the Conservative manifesto.

“This will be very difficult, for any established or establishment group, this is going to be difficult and I’ll tell you why.

“This is radical…Liz Truss didn't propose spending cuts. Here, we’re proposing enormous spending cuts to fund what we believe is going to be a huge boost to the economy.

“And huge emphases in here, by the way, on things like small business - five and a half million men and women out there running their own businesses, they hate government because no one's on their side.

“I think the most radical thing in here, I think the most exciting thing in here, and you mark my words, this will be popular within two or three years with everybody, is we have to lift the threshold at which people start paying tax from £12,500 to £20,000.

“Why? Make work pay. Those people trapped on benefits can suddenly go to work and genuinely be better off...

“So, number one, you get people off benefits and going back to work. Number two, those on low incomes will actually be better off, genuinely better off, and number three, you reduce the need for masses of unskilled migration.”

On stopping small boats crossing the Channel, he said: “Leave the ECHR, establish a law that says that no one who comes by this route will ever be given refugee status, and then, if you have to, pick them up and take them back for their own safety.”

POLL OF THE DAY: Are Reform UK the new opposition in Britain? - VOTE NOW

A recent poll put Reform above the Conservatives for the first time.

A YouGov survey saw Reform's increase by two points to 19 per cent. The Tories remained unchanged on 18 per cent.

The polling was conducted after the Conservative Party published its manifesto on Tuesday.

The Midlands and the North are the areas where Reform are striding ahead of the Tories.

In the Midlands it's 24 per cent compared to 19, while in the North it's 21 compared to 19.

As a result, Farage said in an ITV election event on Thursday evening: "Just before we came on air, we overtook the Conservatives in national opinion polls. We are now the opposition to Labour."

Despite these findings, the Reform leader hit out at the BBC for not including him in a leadership debate, which instead will feature the Tories, Labour, Liberal Democrats and the SNP.

Addressing the snub at a press conference, Farage declared that Reform are the "opposition to Labour" and demanded that the BBC "put us in the debate".

Leader of Reform UK Nigel Farage

Offering a direct challenge to Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer, Farage added: "I would also very much like to do a debate head to head with Keir Starmer.

"And the reason is very simple. We think that this should be the immigration election."

With that in mind, are Reform UK the new opposition in Britain? Have your say.

Joe Biden ‘spitting in the face of the black community’ with latest bizarre moment, says Brandon Tatum

Political Commentator Brandon Tatum has accused US President Joe Biden of "spitting in the face" of the American black community, following his most recent gaffe at The White House.

The 81-year-old Potus appeared to freeze at the annual Juneteenth concert event at his residency, where the large crowds were enjoying a live music set.

Biden was noticeably still during the event, but Vice President Kamala Harris was seen actively dancing next to him.

Brother of the late George Floyd, Philonise, offered the President a helping hand as he was seen wrapping an arm around him during the incident.

Brandon Tatum and Joe Biden

Reacting to Biden's behaviour at the event, Tatum scolded the US leader and claimed the President is "circling the drain" when it comes to his "mental health and physical ability".

Tatum told GBNA host Patrick Christys: "It's shameful, because what they're doing is they're pandering Joe Biden in front of the black community.

"He's at an event of gospel music, which black people celebrate to no end, and he's stiff as an ironing board."

Slamming the President apparent decline in his physical and mental health, Tatum added: "He's off beat, he's stiff, he's drinking some concoction that nobody knows what it is during the celebration.

Joe Biden

"He's not clapping, he's not singing, he don't have an idea about any of the songs - they should not have him there."

LATEST DEVELOPMENTS:

When asked by Patrick if Biden's actions at the event are being perceived as "offensive" to the black community in America, Tatum agreed, and lambasted the President's behaviour.

Tatum raged: "It's absolutely ridiculous, it's spitting in the face of the black community. Don't bring a man to a gospel music event when the man doesn't know the words. He can't even clap on beat. He looked like he's halfway asleep.

"Don't disrespect the gospel singer, the performer. Don't disrespect the culture in the tradition with a guy who don't know where he's at. If anything, he should have been sitting at home Skyping in or something and waving to the crowd and saying, hey, I wish I could be there, but I have no idea what's going on at this event and I just look like a clown."

Patrick shared his thoughts on Biden's latest mishap and argued that Biden being made to attend such events is "elder abuse" and there's "a duty of care for this man and that actually isn't being delivered".

Brandon Tatum

Noting the upcoming leadership election in November between Joe Biden and Donald Trump, Tatum claimed that Trump is "winning the black vote" by "siphoning away a lot of the black vote from Joe Biden".

Tatum explained: "Biden has been a corrupt politician for 40 years. They get out every election season to say what they're going to do for America, but they've been in there forever and they've done nothing.

"And Joe Biden is ruining our country by with open borders - the economy is going to cr*p. He's half dead everywhere he's going.

"He's a terrible example of America. He shows up on D-Day and falls asleep. There's wars all around the world because America is lacking the visibility of strength and also the manifestation of strength."

'Suspicious package' found at Tory MP's office as bomb disposal units rush to scene

A bomb disposal unit has attended the office of Tory candidate Jeremy Quin in West Sussex after a "suspicious package" was found.

Pictures show emergency services surrounding the Horsham Conservative Association this afternoon.

A witness told GB News that two homes near the office have been evacuated.

Sussex Police, West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service and a bomb disposal unit have been spotted at the scene.

A police cordon has been erected outside of Quin's office at Gough House, Madeira Avenue.

A Horsham police spokesperson said: "We are currently at responding to a report of a suspicious package at a premises in Madeira Avenue, Horsham, received at about 2.40pm this afternoon.

"Police and the Explosive Ordnance Disposal team are currently at the scene.

"If anyone in the area has concerns, they can speak to an officer at the scene, or call 101.

"Further updates will be provided in due course."

One witness told GB News that a police officer refused to comment on the specifics of the incident.

The officer told the witness: "The big truck [bomb disposal unit vehicle] and the sign on it should be a subtle giveaway."

It comes just two days after Reform UK candidate, Nigel Farage was attacked with objects while on a campaign bus.

South Yorkshire Police have since arrested a 28-year-old man on suspicion of public order offences.

It’s not the first time this campaign Farage has been subject to objects being hurled at him.

A milkshake was pelted at him as he launched his election campaign in Clacton earlier this month.

A woman was later charged with assault.

Director of health policy studies at the Cato Institute, Michael F. Cannon, has highlighted the "deeply problematic" approaches held by both Donald Trump and Joe Biden towards US healthcare ahead of the Presidential election.

Donald Trump and Joe Biden ‘both deeply problematic’ on key issue

Director of health policy studies at the Cato Institute, Michael F. Cannon, has highlighted the "deeply problematic" approaches held by both Donald Trump and Joe Biden towards US healthcare ahead of the Presidential election.

Biden has affirmed to voters on the election campaign that "healthcare should be a basic right", and pledged to "keep health insurance premiums low" and commit to closing the Medicare insurance coverage gap.

However, Donald Trump has previously campaigned to reform the current healthcare systems and repeal the Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare.

Speaking to GBN America, Cannon claimed that both Biden and Trump's "deeply problematic" stances on the American health system reflects on their "very troubled histories" in managing the sector.

Donald Trump and Joe Biden

In conversation with host Bev Turner, Cannon explained: "President Biden and former President Trump are each very deeply problematic, their record on health policies is deeply problematic.

"Trump has said he doesn't want to reform the Medicare program, which is a big mistake, but he has done some small things that were very positive that worked with his administration to do."

Detailing Biden's plans for his possible next term in office, Cannon revealed the current Potus wants to "vastly increase government spending" on health care, which the Republicans are "fighting him" over.

Cannon told GBNA: "President Biden is doing some small things to try to reduce Medicare spending on prescription drugs, for example. And the pharmaceutical industry is fighting him, and a lot of Republicans are fighting him.

Joe Biden

"President Biden also wants to vastly increase government spending on health care in the United States. So they each have very troubled histories when it when it comes to health care."

LATEST DEVELOPMENTS:

Listening to Cannon's remarks, Bev joked that Biden and Trump should "listen to him" on his suggestions for how US healthcare should be run.

Offering his ideas for the future of US healthcare, Cannon highlighted that there are "opportunities for reform" that could "serve both the Democrats and Republicans".

Cannon expanded: "I think there are opportunities for bipartisan reform in the United States of specifically employer sponsored health insurance that would serve both Democratic and Republican goals.

"And it doesn't have to be some sort of flashpoint where only one member of one political party is going to line up for this."

Michael Cannon

Turning the discussion to the US voters, Cannon told Bev that the "real fight" in America to healthcare universal is "not between the Democrats and Republicans", but it is down to "the health care industry that is profiting off of government intervention".

Cannon said: "The real fight in the United States, and I think in most nations, over making health care more universal, is not between Republicans and Democrats or the right and the left.

"It's between consumers and their advocates versus the health care industry that is profiting off of government intervention in health care in every country."

Nigel Farage can help 'inspire politicians' to speak out on 'troubling' attacks: 'He's set the tone!'

Nigel Farage could now be an "inspiration" to other politicians to "speak out" on violent attacks aimed at public figures, it has been claimed.

This comes as the Reform UK leader was targeted by a protester with suspected building rubble during his campaign trail in South Yorkshire.

South Yorkshire Police arrested a 28-year-old man on suspicion of public order offences following the incident.

Taking to social media, Farage hit out at the "violent youngsters" attempting to bring down his campaign.

Nigel Farage and protesters

He told supporters: "What we've now got is a mob that want to close down all debate. A mob that are prepared to use violence to achieve their goals and that for a democratic country is very, very worrying indeed.

"I'm used to it. I don't like it, of course not. This is stopping me doing what I want to do. It didn’t hit me this time, but you do wonder to what length these people will go."

Discussing the incident on GB News, Journalist Ella Whelan condemned the actions of "attention seeking morons" and Farage has "set the tone" in his reaction to this attack and the milkshake attack in Clacton.

In discussion with host Michelle Dewberry, Whelan explained: "What happened with Nigel Farage seems to be attention seeking morons, but there's actually a peaceful protest against him going on in the background.

Nigel Farage and attacker

"He says I'm used to it, it's absolutely fine, but I think actually Farage has set the tone for us not letting this turn into a moral panic."

LATEST DEVELOPMENTS:

Whelan argued: "Whether you agree with him or not, politically, you really have to give it to him that he is committed to being a politician. He gets out there, isn't afraid. He doesn't let any of the attacks stop him."

When discussing what the possible solution to the growing attacks against politicians should be, Whelan suggested Farage could "inspire other politicians" to take a stand against politically motivated attacks.

Whelan told the panel: "I actually think Farage should inspire other politicians to be more brave about getting out there - let's not fear attacks."

Offering his view on the incident, Professor James Orr highlighted the "pattern" of targeted attacks on politicians and said the violent nature of them is "troubling".

Ella Whelan

Orr told the panel: "It's very troubling. Last week it was a milkshake, this week, a piece of rubble. What's it going to be next week?

"We had an MP murdered in cold blood in his constituency surgery, Sir David Amess. Mike Freer has now stepped down because of Islamists and and Islamo-leftists threatening to burn his constituency surgery down. It's a real pattern.

"And the response has never been adequate enough to send the kind of strong signal that would prevent these things from happening again, that would at least sort of deter people from acting like this."

Emmanuel Macron calls shock snap national election after being hit by disaster in European Parliament vote

Emmanuel Macron has called a snap national vote and dissolved parliament after his party was projected to lose heavily in the European elections.

The French President has said he is calling for new national elections following the performance of the hard-right National Rally in the European elections.

According to the first exit polls, Marine Le Pen's National Rally won around 32 per cent of the votes, a 10 point increase on the last EU election in 2019 and some 17 points ahead of President Emmanuel Macron's party.

Across Europe, some 272 million people are voting in the 27 EU member states in order to elect 720 representatives to the European Parliament.

In a surprise announcement on Sunday evening, the president admitted he could not ignore the results of the European vote.

In a high-risk political gamble, less than two months before Paris hosts the Olympics, he said lower house elections would be called for June 30, with a second-round vote on July 7.

President Macron

"Having carried out the consultation provided for in Article 12 of our constitution, I have decided to give you back the choice of our parliamentary future by voting," he said in a televised address.

"I have heard your message, your concerns, and I will not leave them unanswered.

"I know I can count on you to vote massively on June 30 and July 7.

"France needs a clear majority in order to act with serenity and harmony".

Marine Le Pen'
Marine Le Pen

Yesterday, the president had issued a warning to French voters that there would be severe consequences to backing National Rally.

“If France tomorrow sends a significant contingent of the far right and other big countries do the same, Europe could find itself at an impasse," he said.

The unexpected decision to call fresh national elections was welcomed by Le Pen, who has signalled this week's European vote as a landmark moment for France.

Reacting to Macron's decision to dissolve parliament, the 55-year-old told a rally of supporters: "This historic vote shows that when people vote, people win."

"We are ready to take over power if the French give us their trust in the upcoming national elections," she added.

"We are ready to exercise power, to end mass migration, to prioritise purchasing power, ready to make France live again."

France is not the only country to have seen a rise in support for parties on the Right during the European elections.

In Germany, The Alternative for Germany party (AfD) looks set for second place in EU, with Chancellor Olaf Scholz's Social Democrats recording their worst ever result.

Putin's next target REVEALED by ex-CIA chief - 'He wouldn't be satisfied to stop with Ukraine'

A former top US Army general has warned Vladimir Putin's threats to bring a new war to Europe must be taken seriously.

General David Petraeus said the Russian dictator "won't be satisfied to stop with Ukraine."

Petraeus, who served in the forces for four decades, said Ukraine's allies in the West must do more to help win the war against Putin.

He added that the Baltic states would be the Russian leader's next target.

General David Petraeus was speaking about where Russia's next target would be

He told The Sun: "The Ukraine war could expand in the region if Putin succeeds in Ukraine. He wouldn't be satisfied to stop with Ukraine. Moldova clearly would be next. After that it might be Lithuania or one of the other Baltic states.

"He's been very clear and I think it's also clear in hindsight that we should listen to this individual. He tells us what he believes."

US President Joe Biden said if Putin succeeds in his war with Ukraine, he would not stop there.

Speaking on a state visit to France, President Biden said: "It’s about much more than Ukraine. All of Europe will be threatened, but we’re not going to let that happen...the United States is standing strong with Ukraine. We’re standing with our allies. And we’re standing with France."

LATEST DEVELOPMENTS FROM THE FRONTLINE IN UKRAINE

Lithuania has been vocal about its support for Ukraine's right to strike targets inside Russia.

"That is how you manage escalation... this is how you stop Russia."

Latvian president Edgars Rinkevics said: "If Russia feels it has won in Ukraine the temptation will be for it to continue... if it feels it was defeated, the desire will be for revenge."
